With the World Horror Convention right around the corner I thought I should post my schedule. This is the first time I’m giving my own public reading, plus I will be on two different panels pretending to know what I’m talking about.
First, the reading: on Saturday, the 31st, I will be giving a reading at 11:30am. I’m undecided on what I’ll read; it’s either “The Collector” (from Slices of Flesh—also being released at WHC) and “The Talking Fish of Shangri-La” (from the forthcoming anthology Fish), or “Grandmother’s Doll” (currently unsold). The first option gives a wider taste of my writing styles, while the latter allows me to focus on a single story. I guess I should time both options.
Second, panels: on Friday, the 30th, I will be talking horror within the context of young adult fiction with Derek Clendening, Lynne Hansen, and Dan Wells. That panel is at 5:00pm. On Sunday, at noon on the 1st of April, I discuss horror and middle-grade level fiction with J. Scott Savage and Roh Morgon. I think both will be great fun.
If you’re going to WHC make sure to stop by and say hi. I’ll be giving away copies of Black Static (the issue with my story “The Little Things”) so if you see me make sure to mention this and I’ll give you a copy—while supplies last, of course.
See you there!
